Michael Przytula and Michael Grant (AKA Michael Squared) have just released a brand new podcast episode covering everything happening in the world of smart buildings.
As always, they cover a lot of ground and share a lot of insights, but here are our top three takeaways.
1️⃣ Define your smart building goals
Before issuing an RFP, companies need to get crystal clear on their goals, objectives and needs. This will lead to more detailed, targeted responses from vendors and solutions that truly deliver value.
2️⃣ Start with what you have
Look at the data sources you already have in your building. You don’t need perfect data from the outset – it’s about getting an initial picture, identifying areas for improvement, and building a compelling business case to invest in solutions that align with your goals.
3️⃣ Keep your data in one place
There’s no point having data stuck in separate systems that no one uses. To unlock its value, building data needs to flow into the tools your company is already using – turning insights into action.
